Good to see you here and that this works. I was hoping it worked as it is better than the other forum which requires a sign in and membership. I am still tweaking the site with the goal of officilally launching it on Oct. 11, my birthday, only fitting I guess.

Bob, I apologize for not participating recently. I have been without internet at home with exception of my cell phone, difficult to use on such a small screen. I'm checking out this new site and need to get familiar with it as well. So far I like it, seems to be better in many ways. Hope all is good with you and family.... Dave

Great to see you here Rick. It would be great to hook up with your dad. I remember him well, especially the 1968 season with my brother sponsoring his car. Unfortunately, I spent most of that year in the military and missed the second half of the season. Looking forward to any photos or info you might share, especially if different from what is already posted here or DOK's site. Till again, Bob

I recently talked to Pete Paulsen about the new dirt track going in at the Fairgrounds in Stockton. Pete said that the new track will be on the inside of the existing track. If anyone can comment on how this will look when completed I would like to hear about it, seems to me that the track will be some distance from the existing stands, but I'm excited that there is a new track which is very rare for Ca. My hope is that it is around for a very long time.

Copy and paste this link and it has a little about the new track and a photo of the grandstands in relation to the track, which I believe is probably the 1 mile horse track.

Bob, I'm disappointed in the picture, does not show exactly what is what. Either way, it looks as though the new track will be some distance from the stands which is not a good thing, I hope I'm wrong about that.

Bob and Dave
i assume it was for availability and expediency,a track where there is plenty of parking, there are all the facilities, concessions, sanitary facilities, the only thing that is not available at this time is lights, there are no lights, which means day races only, could be that like going to any other 1 mile track the dust from day races wont filter into the stands, anyways,Mr.Tony Noceti,he also re-opened Stockton 99 after 2 years of no racing seems to have what it takes to make this work and work successfully, who knows, maybe he has plans long term for the track and convince the SJ County Fair board to allow more improvements,it could generate beaucoup $$$$$$ for SJ county.

I understand there will be 10 race days this next year, so if successful I could see more races each year, as far as generating money, who knows in this economy, time will tell. As far as day races only, again, we will have to wait and see how it is handled, could be good or could be an issue but one thing is for sure, it will be a very interesting year for racing in Norcal. Take care, Dave.

lrwindale Speedway will reopen for the 2013 racing season, the 1/3 mile paved as well as a 1/2 mile have not hosted races since26 Nov 2011.

I feel privileged to be able to share some really great news about this upcoming year for the hardtops. I was informed today by Mike McCann that he has made a five year deal to operate the Orland Speedway. Mike said that details of this next year are in the preliminary stages although he has initial plans to have hardtops on the schedule every other week. This is very exciting news, as it will ensure the future for hardtops for at least five years. We are very fortunate to have Mike involved here in N. Cal racing, as he brings many years of experience and also has strong ties to hardtop history. Details of hardtop rules will be communicated after the first of the year. At this time, there is no website for the Orland facility, but Mike said there will be one soon. I/we wish him all the best in this new venture.

Bob,the city of Orland is in Glenn county 50 miles south of Redding, about 25 miles nw of Chico, lnterstate 5 runs right through the town, the track is located in the Glenn County Fairgrounds,it is a dirt track a little short of a 1/4 mile,it seems that fairgrounds are the salvation of dirt track racing in Ca,the new 99Dirt track is also located in the San Joaquin County fairgrounds, they track hasn't hosted racing for the last few years,it will be a revenue generator for the city and county.

Also, the annual workshop for promoters and racing groups is now underway in Reno. I spoke to Rick Holbrook today, he said he would forward any interesting information. I was informed today by Rick Holbrook that BCRA has secured nine hardtop races for the 2013 season. A schedule can be found on the BCRA website within the next two weeks. Please refer to the schedule for details, but from what I remember, there will be four races at Petaluma, and the rest at Yuba City, Placerville and Chico. I may have left one out and I think there is more then one race at some of the tracks.

So there is no confusion on anyone's part. Petaluma Speedway's vintage hardtop dates are "Petaluma's" dates and are not assigned to any one group. All vintage hardtops are invited and all vintage hardtop associations are invited. What I gave Rick Holbrook were dates that already existed on our 2013 schedule they were never intended to be soley BCRA dates.

ADDRESSING the BCRA /CHA PUZZLE

It is my understanding that the BCRA has formed a "vintage" hardtop division. They do have some races scheduled at various tracks for 2013. This is the group that will use rules similar to the Vallejo rules of the '60s and '70s. Please refer to Rick Holbrooks announcement here under "Teammates". The California Vintage Hardtops, now under the new name of California Hardtop Association is still it's own entity and has announced their 2013 schedule and will be racing under the same rules as last year. Please see their page here also under "Teammates". I believe both groups are welcome to run together at any of the tracks supporting them. These groups seem to be growing and there is potential for some great racing, especially if they run together. We wish the best for both groups and anticipate a great season of hardtop racing!
If my info is not accurate, please let me know. We need to keep our fans up to date with the correct information.
Thanks all for your interest and help, Bob

Bob,

As far as I know, you are correct, although Mike McCann has not put out his schedule yet, or rules if any for Orland. We are back to working on the hardtop and plan to have it ready to support the 2013 season. I'm hopeful that everyone's efforts to promote hardtops is met with great enthusiasm and support from all who can do so, good luck to all and a safe and fun season.

"As They Were"
Ah yes,l remember these cars or cars just like running up and down the streets and roads "back in the day,my father was a Chevy guy an we also had some Dodge and Plymouth(remember Plymouth) cars, not many Fords, had some '50's models but none earlier. These photos are of still beautiful models of Fords, but remove the fenders and grill, bumpers and glass, hop up a small block chevy engine and install it,add nerf bars,a quick change rear-end,strip the insides, enlarge rear window for entry and exit, put a drivers seat, complete roll cage, front and rear bumpers, racing tires,a sexy paint job and a number, VIOLA,it's transformed from beautiful to a MASTERPIECE,the Magnificent Vallejo Speedway Hardtop.PERFECTION!
Thanx again Bob for this addition

I debated whether or not to include Mopar and Chevrolet and still may, but my selfish preference kept it Ford only. I am thinking of monitoring the page and if there is enough interest I would expand it to include other makes used at Vallejo. As for perfection, I would still take a '36 Ford over anything built since, in original form of course, not cut up. I only wish they used something else for the hardtops increasing availability and affordability of the early Fords.

Don O'Keefe, aka DOK, is at the Chili Bowl and set to run practice tomorrow and his qualifier races Tuesday. He might even get to run with Tony Stewart as he is scheduled to qualify Tuesday as well, but there are probably 6 to 8 qualifying heats since there are over 250 cars signed up that will run qualifiers through Friday. The main event is Saturday.
Pray for Don's saftey and wish him success and enjoyment.

DOK had a rough night at the C.B. He finished a good 5th in his heat, started 8th in the A main qualifier, was moving into 6th when the guy ahead of him spun launching him. He is okay but was taken to the hospital to check on his shoulder. I did speak with him briefly by phone and was assured that he is okay. Car was trashed pretty bad and am not sure if he will run Sat. Don and Linda are two of the nicest people I know and it's a shame what happened. I'll post when I hear more. BTW, LOVE the site. Spoke With Brad Peshick of thé Okie Bowl Hardtops. Hé indicated that They. Have some dates at Chowchilla this year but the word is the track is dark for 2013. Irregardless they may be interested in coming north for one big show this year. Would likely need some tow money as they come from Bako and points south. Just floating this out here to see if there is any interest.

That sounds like a great idea to me,the more hardtops the better,it would outstanding for the two organizations to work toward a common ground so that maybe as the future comes they could work and race together as one,why have two separate groups when one with more cars, venues to race at and increasing fan base is a "win-win" proposition, just my opinion, there;s strength in numbers, again, just my opinion.
Thanx for taking time to read this.

I don't think that can happen on a regular bases. Those folks are in Bako and you are way north. We had a good situation in 2007 at Chowchilla. The last night we ran 18 cars started the main and it was a great show but right after, the fairgrounds pulled the plug and the track went dark. My thought is if we could something once or twice a year, maybe one north and one south it could spark interest for both groups. Everybody would have to buy in and you know how racers are. Both groups have plenty of dates in their area so there's no urgency to tow. It would be really cool if all the groups could get together on rules but from what I have seen and heard that seems unlikely. There are to many people building cars the way they want to with out regard to the health of the group. When one high dollar car comes in and smokes everybody at some point interest will die. I have been in motorsports since the late 60's and have seen this time and time again.

Great comment, you are probably right,Maybe find a central facility for a couple races a year a "north-south series" so to speak would be great, but your comments are so true getting it planned, organized, putting up the funds for prize and tow is a real big undertaking, well one can hope and dream.maybe someday.

I did in may of that yr & won the race & diticated the race to him. the next yr I went back with the same car & was told not to come back. they have there own little points system & didn't want some out sider like me messing it up.

About the okei Bowl Group,i 've heaad form other people that they Group, the carsare alot less than the CHA is as far as safety and quality of the cars,it's a shame that they feel that way about other groupsfans of hardtop racing an in the resurgence of hardtop racing hate to see one association have so much animosity toward another association.l was hoping for a combined effort to promote the growth of the beloved hardtop racing.

We have been working on it. We have been looking for someone who attends the races to step forward and offer the results. No takers yet. I will post a request on the front page here. If I didn't live 500 miles away, I would be attending the races and reporting results would be no problem. Keep in mind, this site is all about the memories of Vallejo Speedway and any info regarding other entities is just a bonus here and not an obligation, but we aim to please, so we will pursue the request.

I have always been a positive person and would rather not discuss things that are negative or sad, but I feel very compelled to share my thoughts about the two drivers recently killed in Nevada. My first thought was for the families involved and how tragic this is for them. My second thought was for the safety of all others that race Dwarf cars. I was at a friends house today that has three Dwarf cars, his step son, son and grand son all race. I love the Dwarf car division because they put on a great show. While at my friends house, we discussed the accident at Fernley and looked at the differences in how they built their cars as compared to most Dwarf cars. If what I was told is true about how most of them are constructed, I hope a new standard is required so this kind of accident will have a safer outcome for the drivers. Accidents are a part of racing that all of us accept, and some people go to watch racing for that reason alone, but when a driver is injured or killed there are no words to describe how bad we feel. As a car owner and builder, this tragic event has made me re evaluate all the hard work we have put in to our recent hardtop project, the last thing I want is to have someone hurt or killed, after all, we are doing this because we love it and want to share it with others but above all else it is up to us to make sure that we are safe. If you are building a car of any kind, please make safety your first priority in every aspect, from design to construction to driving it. Racing and cars in general will always be a part of our lives, but what ever YOUR role is in it, please think about safety first. Maybe Bob could add a safety discussion section to this site so we can share best practices, you never know, it just might make a difference....

Dave, very good idea. We will put together something here for this most important aspect in racing. I always thought it such a shame that people are killed doing what they love to do, but sometimes it is out of negligence or ignorance. Maybe we can provide some suggestions that just might prevent a serious injury or worse.

My #15 hardtop is almost 100% finished. The chassis is complete except for the side nerf bars which will be installed when the body goes on. This has been a major project, and many people contributed. We decided to do a ground up build three years ago but as always, the lack of money and time took there toll. Now, the car is almost finished and we are very proud of all our hard work. I hope you are able to see it race and take a look at it in the pits, we hope you like it as much as we do. I will put together a photo progression of the build and post it here once we have taken it to the track for the first time. Stay SAFE and see ya at the track...

Finally! Almost finished building the hardtop. We painted the inside of the body today and will put it on the chassis tomorrow. There is so much that comes to my mind about building this car, and I will share details with anyone that wants to know, but the important thing now, is that we plan to have it at Petaluma July 27th and again at Stockton on Aug. 3rd. I will post pictures when it is painted and ready to go!

Hi Jeff,Mike Haney here,to answer you question if Larry "The Sundrop Kid" is racing his hardtop this year, l don't see his name in any of the lineups or race results so far,l don't know the reason either,l only speculate as to the reason.
Larry Damitz is still racing a "Super Stock" at Antioch Speedway but as for his "hardtop" which is a chopped hardtop body but uses a Dirt Modified or a Dirt Late Model chassis but there is a couple of others that look to have the exact or closely resembling the same chassis that Damitz is racing,CHA is kinda of a "run what you brung" outfit so maybe he will race with them again soon.
Thanx for you comment/question

We finished the build on the #15 a few weeks ago. We took it to Antioch Speedway for a few laps and it looked very fast and handled great, but the engine let go and ruined the block, (broken rod bolt) A rod went thru the cylinder wall leaving a 2x3 inch hole in it. We rebuilt another engine and took the car to the Gold cup race in Chico. The car had a really bad push but was very fast. We made some adjustments but were not enough to make a difference for the main (no heat races) event. Jim Perry Jr. drove the car starting last next to Larry Damitz. Jim pulled away from Larry and took the lead within two laps, then lapping the field at least one time and most cars twice. It was fun to see the car run fast, Jim threw it into the turns hard and pulled the left front off the track a foot or more each time. We have more adjustments to make so it will handle better, next race is Oct. 5, in Petaluma. I hope to send many of the build pictures to Bob very soon, so he can add them to this site. Dave.

Old hardtop fan,hi,Mike Haney here,l read your comment about Dave and the #15,l think there are somethings you may not aware of,there are 3 or 4 drivers there that want to be the only ones that win and will do what's necessary to accomplish this.
You mentioned the #100 driven by Larry " Sundrop Kid" and his "late model" hardtop, there are at least two more cars that race with them that are the same,#00 %,you continued and said that #15 has a "sprint car"engine, well if you look at the cars that win most or all the races have "sprint car" engines, the only difference is they built it to run Alcohol but have changed it run gas, they complainers are the ones who think they should win all the races,to some their cars have an advantage against the cars that have 6cylinder motors, anyways, since there are no engine or body rules, you take your chances if they it's all ,if you win watch out they will find something to keep you away.

Hi old hardtop fan! Finally, someone who has an opinion and wants to share it, I appreciate that. Well, Mike Haney is correct, we did run gas at Chico. The car was designed two and a half years ago and built for one purpose, to remind Larry Damitz what a real hardtop really is, by the way, I was told that Alcohol was used in hardtops at Vallejo when they ran injected systems, I do not remember that myself, but I was a regular at Vallejo from the early 70s til it closed. Our intent was to show Larry that we could beat him with a REAL hardtop chassis, body and front end, the only exception we made was the rear suspension and coil overs, but our front end is an axle exactly like the old hardtops ran. Larry has seen our car up close at two different times, and he took his time doing it which is exactly what we wanted. I want Larry to be inspired enough to build a real hardtop and park the death race 2000 thing that he claims is a hardtop. I like Larry as much as anyone else but want to see him in a REAL hardtop. And YES, I'm very proud of our car and YES it is very fast, but I have never bragged about it, to say it, is one thing, and to go around bragging about it is another which I have not done. We will comply 100% with whatever rules they come up with if we decide to run with CHA next year, and as long as the others do the same, we will have a good time, but I'm willing to bet that we will always be running up front because I have confidence in our ability in building and driving the #15. By the way, there were NO rules for this year for hardtops in CHA, but when they called me and invited us to go to Chico, they said NO alcohol, and we complied 100%. Also, Alcohol is much safer and cheaper to purchase, racing fuel is much more expensive and hard to extinguish. I do agree with the fact that if all cars on the track run the same type of fuel, it makes it easier for responders to know what they are dealing with. I love hardtops as much as anyone, and that is why I invested so much into building one with the help of Jim Perry Jr. his son Jimmie, and others. Mike is also correct about the others in CHA as well, several of them have very high powered engines, including John Philbert who operates CHA, the difference is Jim Perry is a very good engine builder, car builder and very good driver. We were not perfect at all at Chico, the #15 did not handle well at all, so we have our issues to deal with but we are determined to get it right and I know we will. Thank You for commenting, I only want to help you understand the facts. Next year, we may decide to run the#15 only on certain events depending on many factors. Hope to gain you as a fan of the #15, and appreciate all the hard work and effort that has gone in to this project, hope to see you at the races.... Dave

I want to thank all of you that have had so many positive things to say and share with me recently about our #15 hardtop. Now that the #15 is finally finished and has been to three tracks in a short time, it has inspired many people to share stories with us about the past, and we are happy about that, hopefully it will inspire more people to build more hardtops. Winning is not the most important thing though, getting it right, or at least very close to right (If racing it) is very important. I know we were faced with decisions that deviated from an actual period correct build, but anyone that builds one today will be faced with the exact same issues we were. I will take criticism as long as I'm given a chance to respond to it, to me, that is important. Sometimes it is not easy to hear that someone thinks you are bragging, when you know that you have been very careful to not show your excitement or enthusiasm for what you and your friends have accomplished. I would like to give an example, If I were bragging, I would have posted the results on every blog I could think of, but I have not done that, not even one time. The question that might be asked though, and that I find unusual, is that there has been nothing posted anywhere about the hardtops at Chico. I don't mean results, that can be downplayed, what about all the participants, friends and families that took the time to go, spend the money and support the event, I would have thought that thanking everyone and saying some nice words of appreciation and using it as a lead into the next event would have been appropriate, but there is nothing, so I guess there is room for improvement here just like on the #15. Dave.

I'm a fan first, always have been, I'm a fan of Terry Decarlo, Tommy Thomson and many others. If not for the other guys, there would be no fun in it at all. I'm curious though, who said it had to be VINTAGE, I know they really are because of the years that have passed, but I hear this from others as well. What is wrong with racing and putting on a good show with respect to one another on the track. I want to add to an earlier statement I made about the reason we built the #15. We felt that the fans were not getting a realistic show of what hardtops were like in the 70s, sitting in the stands a few years ago when the hardtops came out, the fans would either go get something to eat or go to the bathroom and those who stayed would point and laugh because the hardtops were parading around the track and most of them didn't even look like a hardtop, many were actually jalopies, that really upset us because we knew what it was like, and it wasn't like that at all. I will be the first to say that I do not want any car damaged, the bodies are very hard to find and the expense alone just to get to a track and other expenses makes it hard enough. I was impressed and glad to see that Terry, Tommy, Nick and others raced very clean at Chico, Jim was also courteous to the other drivers and slowed when they got out of line in front of him. John Philbert got it right at Chico by running two classes, slower cars in the first race then faster cars in the second, there were no yellow flags in either race. The only complaint I have heard since Chico was that we went a long way at great expense to run a few hot laps and a fifteen lap main. I know this was expressed to John and I'm confident he will express this to promoters at future events. I know we would like to see heat races and maybe a trophy dash with a main in the future. I have supported CHA since John took over, I have tried to show my enthusiasm and tried to help in other ways. I have been at many of the races and helped all who needed it including Carmen C. Terry, Tommy and others over the past two years. I took parts from my car during the build and put them on another car so it could race. I also went to meetings when invited. I want hardtops to keep running and never go away again, that is what is important to me (turns me on) Winning is fun, but not realistic all the time, I admire and have much respect for the other participants and will be the first one to shake their hand with a smile and say great race to the winner and be sincere about it. Only two other drivers came over to us after the race at Chico. Rules will be imposed as I understand next year, and each of us will decide if we want to support CHA or maybe take a break. One thing is for sure, for any group to succeed such as this, there must be a good car count or promoters will not give them the track time. So it will be important for John to listen to all participants and consider what is being said before making the rules. I know there is no such thing as pleasing everyone, so it is equally important for the participants to be understanding as well. Operating a group of any kind is a major challenge, and according to John, he has done it alone to this point, I wish him luck and success in keeping the hardtops racing in the future.

WE had a good nite of racing @ Petaluma last nite, your winners were heat 1 John Philbert heat 2 Terry Decarlo main event winner Tommy Thomson 2 Nick Decarlo 3 Jason Armstrong 4 Jim Perry III 5 John Philbert. Thank you to all the fans who come out to see us race ,you are the reason we do what we do. It has been a very interesting year with many of you giving your opinion on here, but please understand we aer just trying to put on the best show we can. Its not easy to get every one to the track and then have them all play nice with each other. Then you have to make the track promoters happy. Its easy to point finger at who or whats wrong with this or that
but until you know everything that goes into putting on these races you
could never understand all the time and sleepless nites and stress it takes. We have rules for 2014 and a new tech inspector . It does take some time to figure out what will or wont work, I think were on the wright track now and 2014 will be the best year yet. Thanks for your continued support. My 30 plus years of organizing and managing complex industrial jobs locally and afar speaks for itself. Your effort is appreciated, and I have conveyed this more than once, although, If you want our support next year, I encourage you to talk to us asap. Please keep in mind, I still have the ability to run the #66, and also plan to build my sedan, I'm currently in the process of obtaining a rare 36 Ford three window coupe that we will build into a hardtop, as many people ran this type of car, as you know, there are none in the group at this time, as they are difficult to find. We are looking forward to next year and beyond, so if you want our support, please contact me soon. Dave.

Just my .02 here. I don't know what the CHA's rules are for 2014 but they will determine the direction the class will take moving forward. We had a fun deal up in Lakeport that died due to lack of any rules. Everyone was having fun until one person found a group he could out money. He showed up with an eastern modified, small block w/ aluminum heads and sticker tires every night and lapped the field every night. As such, everyone lost interest and that deal died. Here is a quote from the Late Jim Shiels off his amazing 50 history of Stockton 99 Speedway that says it all
"If my fifty year Stockton research has shown me anything, it's the fact that every new division born to racing comes complete with 'cancer', and the day it's born is the same day it starts to die. Each new division is cheap to run, easy to maintain, provides lots of cars, crash and bang action, and attracts new fans, and then somebody says "let me improve that", "Let me upgrade this", " Let me add this", and very soon the cost factors are out of control and the division dies a sad death." Throughout the years, I have seen this happen time and time again. The Limited Sportsman and Supermodified divisions come right to mind but threre are many others. IMHO, the best set of rules ever written for this class are the Cascade Hardtop rules that Mike McCann wrote many years ago. Steel bodies, Steel Shocks, OEM frames (Small P/U frames ok) Straight front axles (OEM), 6 Cyl and Flatheads no restrictions except no Injection or Superchargers. OHV V-8's, 360 ci. All steel except Alum. Manifold with a 4412. Those rules really even everything out. The bottom line is that one or two cars lapping the field is not a good show and will kill the class sooner or later. I want to wish the CHA the best of luck in 2014. You have a BIG shot to have solid car counts moving forward and I hope you make the right decisions. For those who have some time, check out the 99 history
http://www.stockton99speedway.com/Hist/HistINDEX.html
You will see how so many divisions lived and died throughout the years.

Here are my thoughts as the Hardtop racing season is about to begin. As the racing season has already started for many, it is just now about to start for the Hardtop group in N. California. The first race is scheduled for April 19, which is this next Saturday in Placerville. As always, we are a little behind for various reasons with the #15 car and are not positive that we will be able to make it, although we have not given up yet and are very hopeful that everything will come together in time. I send my sincere thanks to John Philbert for all his effort to get races lined up for the 2014 season, he had some needed surgery during a time that is generally set for race organizing so the timing was not at it's best. Also, To all the hardtop participants, owners, drivers and families, I appreciate your effort to be a part of the hardtop group, we all share a common interest in a time that is very challenging financially, all for no credible return on investment, but simply because we want to do it. Please think about safety as we embark on this new season, check all your safety gear, check your trailers for all the proper safety requirements such as lights, brakes, tires and so on. Also, please race with respect to the others on the track, I feel this group has done a great job of it so far and hope to see it continue. Last thing, HAVE FUN!!! and see you at the track! Dave Mackey.

As a fan and drive of racing at Antioch Speedway in the early 2000's I am proud to say I have raced on the same speedway as as some of my favorite drivers as a child growing up in the 1960's. In 1971 I had my picture taken with #107 "The Might Mite" Gary Pacheco and he asked mw what I wanted to be when I grew up and I told him I wanted to be a race car driver and it took me a few years but I finally became a rookie driver at the Antioch Speedway in 2000. I have built models of over 200 driver cars since 1985 and have been looking for some great photos of the hardtops from the good old days of racing and you site has provided me with some great photos. Keep up the great work and I hope to be building a hard top soon.

I have another nickname to add that drove a hardtop at Vallejo - Gary "Alfred E." Newman from Hayward. He drove stocks then a hardtop for a couple of years in the late 60's early 70's.

Randy, thanks for your visit and interest. "Alfred E" is already listed and is in the hardtop section. It looks like he ran hardtops from 1972 through 1975 or so.

I would like to invite all those interested in racing a hardtop at Antioch Speedway in 2017 to contact me. I also have a few cars for sale to build and also have info on other cars for sale. Hardtops will be on the schedule for the 2017 season at Antioch and there will be at least 8 to 10 cars to support it. We are hopeful that the schedule at Antioch will not be in conflict with Placerville as we would like to support their dates as well and encourage the CHA group to support Antioch, hardtop owners local to Antioch have committed to Antioch's schedule first in the 2017 season before supporting any other dates at other tracks if there is a conflict. This effort is NOT to try to divide the current group but rather show support for Antioch Speedway for giving the hardtops track time. In 2016 Antioch Speedway scheduled 5 dates and support was pretty good with the exception of one date where only two hardtops showed up. With at least two more hardtops coming out in 2017 we will have enough cars committed to support the Antioch track. I can be contacted at the info above, thanks..... Dave.
