Fred Grzelak Car

Fred's car ran what looks to be the same 1940 Ford for at least 14 years. Here we have most of the years represented and with the various drivers.

Paul Stornetta drove it the first year as #77. I bought it from Fred on a phone call from Hong Kong while on R&R from Vietnam in 1970. We had already started building the second car before I got drafted. They brought the new car out mid way in the 1970 season and stored the old car in my parents garage across the street ready to go when I got back in March of 71.  Here are the car numbers from the beginning: 77,18,9,4,5,5,2,77,77,17,14,12,10,2. In 1976 Roger Greenlee and I split 2nd and 3rd in points.  Mike Davis
