Vallejo Hardtops

1971 - 1978

After talking with my Dad he reminded me that in 1972 Lanny Walker was driving the #10 car for Danny Victorino and sometime during the season he broke his leg while riding his dirt-bike.  Laney Westbrook got behind the wheel and was the most improved driver and the car finished 4th in points that season.  In 1973, at Petaluma, he drove the 4 car.  In 1974 he was in the # 7 untill mid season when Victorino moved to San Jose and Laney took over Phil Pedlar's seat in Harold Mcauley's #2 National auto parts, M&M auto body coupe.  That was the year Larry Hall won the points battle.  When i asked my Dad why Pedlar vacated the seat in the 2, he thought it was because Phil went sprint car racing.
